Update for Sept. 11, 2008
by boh3m3 on Sep.11, 2008, under Site-Related, Updates
Hey kids!
Bit of a good news/bad news situation with the site I’m afraid…
This theme will likely be the new permanent from now on through to oblivion.
As much as I loved Aspire1, it was not completely functional and as such it was sacked. You can find my old copy of Aspire at Santa Monica and Western selling little crucifixes it makes from old twigs.
I received more than a couple of complaints about the site not working properly with Aspire in Chrome or FF3, which is just about as bad as I suspect hearing that your child has been shitting himself all day in school and eating it like it was chocolate pudding.
It is my personal standard to keep my site from eating it’s own shit at all costs, and with that I have switched from Aspire to this current choice, Redoable.
You will find I’ve also started tacking on some interesting widgets and stuff for the ADD people in the world 2.
I’m also writing much more lately, so expect many new updates and satires. I even have a more editorial post coming up perhaps tomorrow when I wake up, with a satire involving Ze Frank to follow.
ALSO! I think I’ve got a pretty damn funny show idea brewing in the back of my spacious 600sq foot unfurnished braincase. More to follow as the stories progress.
In the mean time, read, comment, vote, subscribe, and for god’s sake help me get a job or maybe donate.
Peace my hairy human brothers. I’m off to sleep off the California Sunrise.
1: The dreamy Victorian brown with filigree theme can be found here, if you can get the damned thing to work.
2: Ooooohhhh SHINY!!! OOOOH FLASH WINDOW OMG!

Good idea on the new theme, methinks. Awesome though the Victorian one was, it was more of a novelty. (Also it didn’t work.)
Looking forward to seeing what else you write! Seriously, this writing thing is working out really well for you, keep up the good work :)

mmm yeah that old pretty site was being a bitch to me- I couldn’t click any of the links.
I love that Category Cloud though.

@Brandon: When I get a minute I will, but thanks!
@Thiefree: I’m really thinking I can make this site into something interesting with the path I’m on now. I’m glad you’ve been here since the start. :)
@lexi: That cloud is the shit bam kaboozle.

Your “our child has been shitting himself all day in school and eating it like it was chocolate pudding.” quote was pure writing gold! I enjoyed the old theme, but maybe it was too good for WordPress to handle.
Also, thanks for making a surprise Skype visit on Brooke’s Ustream.tv blog chat yesterday. Little gestures like that, go a long way and can really improve Brooke’s so-called ‘insecurities’ when she goes live (I was ‘ustreamer - 10775′).
Until the next blog.

@OzBro: I’m glad you dig my workings. The Skype thing was a lot of fun and kind of spur of the moment. I know it’s usually at least a little lonely broadcasting on your own.

Well, I’m not sure which layout that I liked best the old one or this new one but this one is really nice and clean, so I’m glad it may be permanent. Oh and I totally dig the category cloud! It has been a while since I’ve last commented on your blog so I just wanted to say hey and that I’m still reading of course.
Take care, Jess

From the start? Well heck, let me get my zimmerframe!
October 8th, 2008 on 5:47 am
@Thiefree:
I had no idea what a “zimmerframe” was until I took that unfamiliar word to Answers.com: it’s a walker or walking frame for disabled people who need additional support to maintain balance or stability while walking.
Hilarious!
