Unscheduled Downtime

Well here we are again. Stuck running Ubuntu with my hard drive wiped. Luckily I backed up a lot of files this time and keep everything necessary on a secondary drive.
So apologies for the possible lag in my videos due to my stupidity. I will get on it ASAP.

Disregard that, all is well and good. Just needs some tinkering but I’ll be back operational soon.

Computer issues suck. I’d offer some awesome help. but to be honest I don’t even know what the hell a “Ubuntu” is. It sounds African, I’m not too sure why.

hey ben! i am planning to switch to ubuntu this year .. so my suggestion to you is: just stick with ubuntu(microsoft does/wont support XP anymore.. so they will probably force you to buy vista .. thats one of the reasons for me to switch). i havent researched this, but i cant imagine there would be no program for recording and editing vids on linux. my impression is .. you can have anything opensource today, sometimes i even want a program and its for linux only.
just check out sourceforge or google a bit .. you should find smth.

oh and by the way .. i asked a friend of mine who runs ubuntu .. and he says it can read NT filesystem .. “the drive just needs to be properly unmounted .. in case it isnt you can force it”

i guess even though linux has become “normal guy” friendly (imo).. one still has to learn a bit .. as it is a different OS after all.

ubuntu is great. i’m pretty sure theres open siurce video editing software for it too.
