Gravatars!

For those of you not in the know about the blogosphere (like myself), I thought I would inform you of this site’s new enabling of Gravatars.
A Gravatar is a globally recognized avatar binded to your email address, so that on whatever blog you visit (that uses Gravatars, of course) your uploaded avatar will be displayed wherever your email is used to comment.
It is a free service, recently bought out by Wordpress. If you would like to sign up for one, head to http://en.gravatar.com/ and go through the motions.

Sometimes it’s silly. I have to approve a comment or two before it happens automatically. Keeps me from spammers and such. Should work fine now.

Ah, it seems Gravatar is one of the MANY, MANY services I’ve signed up for and instantly forgotten about. All these cross-site IDs are amazing, but I don’t know how people cope if they’ve got different names and passwords for each one!
I’m Thiefree almost everywhere, for simplicity’s sake, and am therefore super-easy to stalk. Hooray!

I like the use of Gravatars, even though the name, itself, conjures of the image of Sci-Fi zombies. Plus, it gives me the chance to ogle Thiefree’s pretty face! :P

I’ve been playing around with Gravatars a bit and am trying to get my account to work with multiple email addresses. If my photo appears here, I’ve figured it out. If not, I still have some work to do.
