An Explanation

The phrase “kill your babies” is thrown around quite a bit in every assembly-line editing and film making book I’ve read. It applies to those bits of footage that you absolutely love but just don’t have any damn use for. I’d like to think that I’ve successfully applied this theory to my website, but I’m sure at least a few people aren’t happy with the change.
The simple facts are that even though I’m paying a fee every 3 months or so to keep this site running, I haven’t really looked at or interacted with it since I started working out my trip to Cali. I’m not exaggerating when I say I just might have looked at this site a grand total of five times since leaving the muggy, funky, wrong-place-for-me South.
On a few occasions I’ve seen unhappy forum members write me comments not unlike a 6 year old who has been neglected for an extended period of time by a drunk father. I tried to promote interactivity with my life and the breakdown of boundaries between myself and the people who watch my videos.
Man I fucking failed. Hard.
But rather than bringing back forums which will, frankly, be more of a headache to myself and the kindly folks who agreed to help me with moderating them, the only forum-like crap I’m going to allow [for now, at least] will be relegated to the comments section. See what I did there? I said “relegated”. Someday I hope to look up that word and find I’ve used it properly all these years. Most likely it will turn out quite the opposite.

It would have been nice if you have warned the few remaining forum members before you took it down so we could have exchanged contact details and maybe even saved/read PMs and posts we didn’t get a chance to read/save.

I can assure you pia, it’s my site. I know it’s stripped down and a lot of the more familiar stuff is gone, but give it some time.

Personally I enjoyed the forum even dead or not, and read them everyday almost religiously and will more then likely find cause to create fan forums or something atleast for those of us who still wandered there..
It wasn’t much of a head ache and we actually had a decent loyal gathering to the forums, sure there was a bit of dry humor about your lack of presence but none to harsh I’d say…
Gah what ever…could of atleast warned Laggy or Me..

I’m kinda happy the forum has gone, as the others said it did slide down a certain creek without a paddle and won’t really miss talking to anybody on the site (no offence if they read this it was just too ‘cliquey’ for my tastes.)
I just enjoy reading what Boh3m3 has to say, his thoughts and views. Just keep it like this man, and keep the 3m3 alive.

I was wondering what happened. I started checking, and it kept giving me error messages… I was like ‘what the heck?’… but this explains it. I agree it would have been nice to have a small warning, but I can understand that you didn’t wanna keep paying to keep a place up that you never go to and has little activity already. Money’s a hard thing to come by in copious amounts to spend on things you don’t use.

I figured that that is what had happened and I was expecting it. I’m glad you’re not paying for this crap anymore because that’s just silly with sprinkles. The rainbow kind, of course. I also imagined Laggy hyperventilating every time he got an error message when he refreshed. :p

i only did those crappy covers to post them on the forums >:( (sorry about that btw) BUT, even though i wasn’t posting much lately, i would always read it. i hated having the orange..folder..thingy next to the threads. anyway, i just found out that the whole site wasn’t taken down and that there’s still hot wild human interaction going on here, except for the hot and wild.. but yeah, if a new forum is set up, please let everyone know.. i miss people :{

pia, you download a client to access IRC with (I recommend mIRC, which I will link for you) and then you start pushing buttons till things happen D:. Basically, if you follow the instructions you will be all good…once there and in #boh3m3 we can instruct you on how to register with Q and all that fun stuff.
