So originally I thought about what releasing scripts of my writing would end up like. I imagined an apocalyptic world with blood red skies and people using my words and ideas for their own profits. I imagined people printing pages of my scripts and stabbing puppies in the eyes with it and saying that it was MY work.

But then I realized a lot of you probably won’t give a shit either way! So today, free for commercial and private use [unless otherwise noted], I am putting out the first script of many.

I ask that when you make the video you don’t feel restricted to acting out the script precisely. Don’t worry about getting props or making sure every thing is exactly where I wrote I wanted it to be. Just fuck around with them and show me! And if at all possible, please link people back to my youtube page or this website.

So the first script is Mushroom Monarch. Needs two people, or one person playing two parts. Hope you all like it.

  1. Read it, love it. Hilarious, Boh3m3! I may act it out with my friends, possibly put it on youtube. We don’t fit the parts so it would just be for fun. If I do, I’ll definitely link it to you.

  2. read it… awesomeness XD totally hilarious… why didn;t u do them yourself… huh? :)

  3. Nice sipt, keep it going

  4. Hey boh3m3 this is really good man! You definitely have premium writing skills. It kept me interested and most of all it made me chuckle.
It reminded me of Kevin Smith type dialogue.
If you could write for me that would be great. Me and my friends had an idea of an intervention for a person who is addicted to text messaging. Haha think about it.

  5. haha .. great story .. i hope a few people create vids to this. i wish i could.

about that tshirthell thing .. maybe you could explain that in a post, cause i dont see any references, which would assure me you will get the credit for my purchase ..

  6. nevermind .. seems like i got a cookie which wont expire until 2009 :)

  7. HAHA, WOW! I love it, Ben. I would love to film it with some friends, but to tell you the truth…we would slaughter it. I’ll leave it to someone who can capture the greatness that it obviously has.

    what Do you Think People!!!!

  9. three cheers for vimeo!

  10. Great idea, Ben! o(^ – ^)o *♥*♥*♥*♥*

  11. I have an idea … maybe you could write a script that was quite short, and had simple dialogue about not much … I think it would be interesting to see the creative ways in which different people interpreted it.
Anyway, I like this whole releasing the script idea.

  12. love the idea!!

  13. sooo yea so far ive watched several variations on your script and it seems like your not the only one having trouble finding a second person your comfortable doing a skit with. ive seen 4 so far and each one was one person doing bolth sides. giving it an added sense of hilarity but also giving it a lack of sketch comedy feel. the way the script is written it sounds like its supposed to be done by a group like “whitest kids you know” or “chocolate cake city” or “Derrick Comedy” its not a bad little sketch in my opinion and its got a kevin smith ring too it but it seems the major joke of it is sorta lost on most people. personally when i read it guy on the left just screamed randal from clerks at me. and im guessing that was one of the angles you were aiming for. well keep it up and i might give you some ideas for script writing. keep on writing cause its the only way to get better. Peace

  14. I’m going to have to join the band wagon here and tell you that it’s Kevin Smith-ish in dialogue, but in my book that makes it awesome. The best part is that i could see it being acted out as i was reading it. The mark of a good writer, in my opinion. Good job. =]

  15. It’s very K. Smith. Was that one of your inspirations for this?

  16. I like it. I’ve written that kind of thing before, in those idle moments when your brain should be asleep but isn’t…

On the one-in-a-hundred chance that you’re interested, you can find something I’ve written here:

Ah go on, it’s only 100 words ;)

  17. I liked the whole thing about the Mario World. And Believe it or not I have actully had conversations like this with my friends about Mario like almost 2 times a week we descuss things like that. I’ll Probly do that skit with my friend after I get the Camera I am looking at but First I need to get a Job.lol. Story of my life really almost always broke.
